As first time campers we had the had the pleasure of joining great friends for a dew days off the grid.Crikey Campers supplied us with the bees knees with the Jayco Journey Caravan and 200 Series Landcruiser, good quality in mint condition, As we had a few teething problems starting off on a non-powered site they were always on call to help and we managed sufficiently to create good memories.We also moved on to a powered site Southern Stars which provided everything and owners super friendly and well positioned to move freely in any direction down south.All in all we had the best of both worlds, try it out for yourself sometime.

A fantastic ten day drive from Perth to Broome made especially easy by Andrew at Crikey Campers. Our 4wd Landcruiser and camper trailer easily handled the drive on both sealed and unsealed roads. Fully equipped trailer meant we had little extra luggage to fly home after our one way drive. Will definitely be hiring again.

What a fantastic neat and unique small company. We researched for months to find a company with equipment that would suit our demands for our looong road trip! The perfect journey!We had planned our trip a year in advance and then already booked the 4WD & Safari Camper Package at Crikey Campers, which gave us a considerable discount. From 5 August to 5 November 2019, we covered over 15,000 kilometres in Western Australia, Northern Territory and North Queensland (see www.polennikki.com) with the fantastic Toyota Landcruiser 200 and the indestructible Camprite camper trailer. Setting up and breaking down the camper trailer took, after a few days, an average of only 7 minutes. There were some small problems with parts of the tent or with the equipment, but after a phone call to Crikey in Perth they were solved immediately. One time we were helped by their representative in Broome, another time we bought a new gas stove that afterwards was fully refunded by Crikey. Landcruiser and trailer were 'anonymous', without publicity or logos from Crikey Campers. But we wouldn't have objected to promoting them, because both 4WD and trailer as well as the service fully met our expectations.

Our family hired the 200 series and camprite combo from crikey for 2 and a half weeks to do the Kimberley region. We had an absolute blast and have created memories to last a lifetime. The car had plenty enough power to get us where we wanted to go and the camper was easy to set up and had heaps of space for the family inside.Customer service was great too.

I recently had the pleasure of hiring a landcruiser 4wd complete with roof top tent and off road camper trailer from Crikey Camper Hire. The equipment was fantastic, easy to set up (and take down) and it included everything you needed plus some creature comforts. This was the perfect set up for a group of friends to take a camping holiday and would work equally well for a family group. Highly recommend Crikey Camper Hire.

I have to admit that I am not a huge camping fan, being a bit of a luxury girl at heart but these camper trailers made my camping experience pleasant and easy. The trailers are well appointed, the beds comfortable and the mini-kitchens well appointed. I was amazed how quick it was to set up and pack down. At our campsite, there was definite "camper-trailer envy" from other campers at how great our set up was. I'll be back again. Thanks Crikey Campers!

We booked a Landcruiser and camprite trailer from the UK to travel on the Gibb River Rd from Darwin to Broome with our 3 children in August 18. Crikey played an important part in contributing to an amazing trip in some beautiful and rugged country.Positives:* wealth of information, tips and advises when we picked the car/trailer up. The girl in Darwin took her time to explain everything, answer all our questions, show us how to operate the car, how to put the trailer/camper together, the do's and don't do's, what Crikey allows, what Crikey doesn't allow. Two (!) hours well spent as I cannot stress how important these wise words were, keeping us out of trouble during our trip: no damage to ourselves, no damage to the equipment.* responsive and thorough customer service via email, before and during our trip - the staff really know their cars and equipment inside out.* fantastic package: good to be sleeping off the ground and off the car-roof (!), camp was set up in 10 minutes, equipment was plentiful, ride was safe and comfortable. The best rig on the road, by far.Negatives:* lack of UHF radio in the car as stated in the booking, hence this a 4 stars instead of a 5 stars review. Apologies from Crikey.All in all, a very positive experience with a professional rental company, supplying quality equipment well suited to outback adventures. We took the FULL insurance (meaning no deposit), bringing the costs up no doubt but bringing the worries down, also.

The trailer suited our needs very well - 2 week trip to Karijini and Gnaraloo, and the kids can't wait to do it all again. Great product and service to match.

We have booked from Switzerland and ordered the luxury package and were not disappointed!Everything worked out wonderfully and the whole team took care of us very warmly!When we wanted to pick up the caravan, a small defect had to be repaired first. So we don't have to wait, we could take the 4WD and the team booked us a beautiful cabinet at our first stop in Wave-Rock. The next morning at 8.30 Andrew was in Waverock with the caravan and handed it over to us! (That's 5h drive from Perth!) -> Sorry Andrew that you had to leave so early! :)But, that's what I call first-class service!We had another problem with the sun blind, because I was too stupid to open it... We described the problem and Andrew visited us at the campsite in Freematle and solved the problem quickly!This, too, is first-class service!The 4WD was perfectly equipped for the outback! We had a great fridge in the car, there was radio to inform the roadtrains when overtaking, cruise control and the engine was super powerful.Since it was a V8 diesel, it was very thirsty... We needed between 20 and 25 litres per 100Km... But I usually drove 95 or 100Km/h. with 80Km/h it would have only used 18 litres!The caravan was very large and spacious. He was equipped with everything you need for a great holiday. I loved the air conditioning! I didn't find the beds very comfortable because they were fold-out and not in the caravan. You always had the feeling that you were sleeping in the tent. But after a few days you get used to it and sleep well.All in all a perfect holiday! Thank you for the wonderful time! We'll be back for sure! (Every 10 years we visit Australia)

Last minute Booking and it did not disappoint. Great Value for money, Camper was so comfortable to sleep in and so spacious to move around in. All the equipment that came with the camping trailer i.e water tank, kettle, cutlery was great. Everything we needed was provided. We have been hiring a caravan every year since we sold our camper 5 years ago, and we find this is far more cost effective. The real benefit is the simplicity of picking up and leaving back the van, which has everything included, and the quality reflects they are really well looked after. The staff are really helpful, no-nonsense knowledgeable and practical. This is a great way to keep camping, without the nuisance of storage etc..This year, 2hrs south of Perth towards Albany, 3pm Saturday afternoon, my Prado engine seized while towing a Crikey camper. I thought the holiday would be delayed a couple of days. I arranged a tow truck to bring us back to Perth, and rang Crikey emergency number to see if I could hire a 4WD. Andrew asked how I was getting my car back, and then suggested I arrange for the tow truck to go to their office at Osborne Pk, and he would open up and put a 4WD on the truck, which then delivered it to me at Bannister. The tow truck took my Prado to the garage in Perth, and we continued to Middleton Beach in Albany...we were only 3.5 hours later than plan. Opening the office Saturday afternoon, no fuss with paperwork, looking for solution to keep us on the road....was just a fantastic service, I cannot speak highly enough of the team at Crikey campers, whose efforts made a big difference for us.Niall

Staff were friendly and helpful. It has now been 2 weeks and our $5000 is yet to be returned. I’m paying interest and I am now assuming that you guys are making interest on my money. Really disappointed as have called twice and no response. If you take money as a holding deposit, it should be returned when the vehicle is returned- there is no entitlement to our money for longer than we have the vehicle. Car was great and service was great until now

Great service from end to end and the camper worked very well for the brief holiday that we did. We didn't do any serious off road driving on this trip, however the Camprite camper looked like it would handle the rough and tough without too many problems. There is a bit involved in set up and pull down with the Camprite, so make sure you listen carefully at the initial briefing when you pick up. Positives included: great functional kitchen with plenty of work space, fully equipped trailer has pretty much everything you need, good water capacity, great storage inside the camper and also excellent storage in the lockers up front. Only negatives were the front awning was a challenge to set up due to canvas stretch and the master pole not aligning to the hole it needed to go through. We managed to work around this but it made the set up take a little longer than it should have been. The camper also had a couple of spots where there were large gaps to the outside and if you were staying in an area with mosquitos or other insects, this could be an issue. This camper would really suit the serious off-roader and we are looking forward to our next adventure where we can test one a bit further a field.

From the time to booking to the time we dropped the car back to Crikey, the service was second to none! The car and equipment provided to us was to such a high standard that it gave us the peace of mind in terms of reliability and performance on our drive from Broome to Perth when anything could happen! Thank you Crikey for a great ride. All the equipment met our needs and made our holiday very memorable. We got a lot of interest from others checking out our "rig". Lots of things not planned can happen on a trip like ours but we had piece of mind with a professional crew a phone call away and taking the higher insurance option as well. Absolutely sensational. This is the second time we have used Crikey and the vehicle performed superbly and the whole experience was extremely easy and painless.The additional equipment included things like a satellite phone, very good safety feature for remote travel, car fridge and many other necessary items that we did not have to buy or rent.At the end of our trip, we had the car cleaned and returned with no fuss.Can't recommend Crikey highly enough.
