Is A Relocation Right For You?
How does it work, you ask? We sometimes need help getting our rental cars from one depot to another. By becoming a relocation driver, you can help us out while saving big on your travel expenses. It’s a win-win situation!
What is a relocation driver?
What is the catch?
- Age requirements: You must be 21 years old or over
- On-way travel: You should be looking to get from one place to another.
- Cost responsibility: You’ll need to cover expenses like flights, fuel, and accommodation. We recommend getting travel insurance, just in case things don’t go as planned.
- Dates and flexibility: You must be able to drive between specified dates, kilometre restrictions and be open to adjusting your plans accordingly.
- Time constraints: Your trip should be planned to fit within a certain number of days. Sorry, no time for sightseeing
- Road restrictions: You can only drive on sealed bitumen roads. Adventure will have to wait.
- No night driving: To ensure your safety, driving between dusk and dawn is not allowed.

Security Bond
Bond amount: maximum liability of a $1,000 bond
A bond is required to be paid on collection of the vehicle.This bond will be temporarily held on your card. If there are no extra charges incurred at the end of your relocation, the bond will be refunded to the same card.
Driver requirements
Minimum age: 21
A valid and full/unrestricted driving licence OR A valid and full/unrestricted driving licence, accompanied by an International driver’s permit in English.
Travel restrictions
- NO night driving
- NO off-road driving (sealed bitumen roads only)
Vehicle Supplied
All efforts are made to supply the vehicle as described. From time to time the company made need to change the vehicle supplied to fulfil its logistical requirements.
Pick up
Relocation vehicle(s) are collected from nominated location between 12:00 pm and 14:00 pm on nominated pick up date.
Return
Relocation vehicle(s) are returned to the nominated location NO LATER THAN 11:00 am on nominated pick up date.
- Ensure the fuel level is FULL.
- Return the vehicle in a clean and washed condition
Booking cancellations
We understand plans can change unexpectedly. To cancel your relocation booking, please notify us in writing as soon as possible.
If you give us less than 90 days’ notice, a cancellation charge will apply based on a percentage of the total booking deposit.
Refer to section 11 of our Terms and Conditions for more details regarding our cancellation conditions.
Cancellation by supplier
In the unlikely event that the vehicle is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, our liability is limited to refunding the booking deposit and any extra deposit paid for additional days. Please note that there will be no refund for out-of-pocket expenses, accommodation charges, meals, or changes to the itinerary.
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances that may result in out-of-pocket expenses.
Booking Deposit
Amount: $500
To secure your relocation booking, a booking deposit is required.
Please be aware that if you decide to cancel with less than 90 days’ notice, a cancellation charge will apply based on a percentage of the total booking deposit. Refer to section 11 of our Terms and Conditions for more details regarding our cancellation conditions.
Security Bond
Amount: $1,000
Amount payable: $500
Upon collection of the relocation vehicle, your $500 booking deposit will be used towards your $1000 Security Bond. This means you only need to pay $500 on the day of pick up.
If there are no damages, beech of relocation booking terms and conditions or extra charges at the end of the relocation, the bond will be refunded to the same card within 21 days of return. This is our most comprehensive liability cover, offering maximum protection.
Extra Kilometres
Extra kilometres driven are charged at a rate of $0.35 per kilometre.
Extra Days
Subject to availability extra days can be booked at our standard rate. Additional days must be booked prior to the commencement of the relocation booking. An additional 300km is allocated to the kilometre allowance for each extra day. Relocation booking terms and conditions applies for any extra days purchased.
